MIRROR (EXT): POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. CHECK POWER MIRROR SWITCH OPERATION

(a) Remote control

The mirror adjust switch can control the adjustment axis of the mirror surface.

(b) Reverse-linked tilt function

This function tilts the mirror surface downward to improve the visibility when driving in reverse, provided that all the conditions given below have been met.

Set the mirror select switch to L or R.

Engine switch is on (IG).

Shift lever is moved to "R".

2. CHECK MEMORY SWITCH OPERATION

(a) Memory

Memorizes the positions when all conditions below have been met and the M1, M2 or M3 switch is pushed while the SET switch is pushed or M1, M2 or M3 switch is pressed within 3 seconds after SET switch is released.

Engine switch is on (IG).

When the memory setting is completed, the buzzer will sound for 0.5 seconds.

(b) Recall

If seat memory switch M1, M2 or M3 is pressed when all conditions below have been met, the positions will be recalled.

Engine switch is on (IG).

Shift position is "P".

If seat memory switch M1, M2 or M3 is pressed within 180 seconds of the driver door being opened when the engine switch is off, the position will be recalled.

Engine switch is off.

Driver door is opened.
