AA80E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: PATTERN SELECT SWITCH: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT NO. 1 PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Check that the No. 1 pattern select switch assembly does not stick or bind.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(c) Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the switch.

OK:





If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the No. 1 pattern select switch assembly.
