Installation





2GR-FXE ENGINE CONTROL: ECM: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ECM

(a) Set the ECM in the engine room ECM box.

(b) Install the engine room ECM cover with the 3 claws.





(c) Install the No. 1 ECM bracket and No. 2 ECM bracket with the 4 bolts.





Torque : 4.5 Nm (46 kgf-cm, 40 in-lbf)

(d) Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 8.4 Nm (86 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf)

(e) Install the ECM with bracket with the 3 bolts.





Torque : 19 Nm (193 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)

(f) Install the cooler pipe with the bolt.





Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

(g) Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.





NOTICE:
* When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not become stuck between the connectors and other parts.
* Make sure that the 2 levers are securely locked.

(h) Install the 2 wire harness clamps.





2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. INSTALL REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Installation

4. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

5. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER Installation

6. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation

7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

HINT
Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.

(a) The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be input into a replacement ECM Programming and Relearning.

(b) Perform Initialization when replacing the ECM Installation.
