Lamp Out Sensor: Testing and Inspection

LIGHTING: LIGHT FAILURE SENSOR: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT LIGHT FAILURE SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the R9 light failure sensor connector.





(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





Standard resistance:





If the result is not as specified, there is a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the light failure indicator sensor connector.





(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness between the sensor and bulb, or replace the light failure indicator sensor.
