SEAT: FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Seat Position Memory System): SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1. FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

* The driver seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical, and lumbar support adjustment functions.

* The memory system for the front seats is optional. With the memory function, the front power seat switch (position control ECU) performs the following: 1) controls the slide, reclining, lifter, and front vertical motors; 2) memorizes the seat position; and 3) operates the seat restoring operation.

* The memory call function uses the key ID code of the electrical key to memorize and reproduce the appropriate driving position for each individual who possesses an electrical key.

3. SYSTEM OPERATION

The front power seat adjustment and position memory are shown in the chart below.





* For the driver side memory function, the memory switch operation is first transferred from the outer mirror control ECU LH to the front power seat switch LH (position control ECU) via the multiplex communication line. Then, either the seat position is stored in memory or a previously stored seat position is recalled.
