Neutral Safety Switch: Service and Repair


CONTINENTAL & MARK VII WITH AOD TRANSMISSION
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Position transmission selector lever in ``Lo'' position.
3. Raise and support vehicle, then working from underneath vehicle, disconnect electrical harness from switch by lifting harness straight up off switch.
4. Using tool T74P-77247-A or equivalent, remove neutral start switch and O-ring seal by positioning tool over the extension housing area to gain access to switch.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Torque switch to 7---10 ft. lbs. using tool mentioned above.
