Control Assembly: Service and Repair

Fig. 12 Center finish panel removal:






1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Open ashtray and remove ash receptacle. Remove four center finish panel-to-instrument panel attaching screws from ashtray opening and upper edge of finish panel, Fig. 12.
3. Pull lower edge of center finish panel away from instrument panel and disengage upper tabs of panel or insert from instrument panel.
4. Remove four screws attaching control assembly to instrument panel.
5. Slide control assembly out of instrument panel and disconnect the two electrical connectors by disengaging latches on bottom of control.
6. Remove control assembly from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
