Wiper Gear Box: Service and Repair

1982---87 CONTINENTAL

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove righthand side wiper arm and blade assembly.
3. Remove cowl top grille retaining screws and remove grille.
4. Disconnect linkage drive arm from the motor output arm crankpin by removing retainer clip.
5. Remove the right side pivot shaft retaining screws then, remove the large nut and spacer from the left side pivot shaft.
6. Remove linkage.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
