Blower Motor: Service and Repair



1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Open glove compartment, release retainers and lower door.
3. Remove recirc duct support bracket-to-cowl attaching screw.
4. Remove electrical connector bracket-to-recirc duct attaching screw. Release three connectors from bracket, then remove the bracket.
5. Remove recirc door vacuum motor connector, and disconnect two aspirator hoses from the muffler.
6. Remove six recirc duct-to-evaporator assembly attaching screws, then remove recirc duct by lowering it between evaporator case and instrument panel.
7. Disconnect blower motor electrical connector.
8. Remove blower wheel nut, then the blower wheel.
9. Remove four blower motor-to-mounting plate attaching screws, then the blower motor.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
