Compressor

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Discharge refrigerant from system.
3. Loosen idler pulley and remove drive belt from compressor clutch.
4. Remove refrigerant lines from compressor manifolds.
5. Disconnect clutch wires at wire connector.
6. Remove bolt attaching top of compressor to compressor front bracket.
7. Remove locknut and stud from compressor front lower inboard attachment at front bracket. If stud cannot be removed with locknut, install two 10mm x 1.25 nuts on stud and remove stud.
8. Remove three compressor lower attaching bolts and compressor, Fig. 36.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
