Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Fig. 35 Blower motor & wheel assembly removal:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove glove compartment and sound insulator.
3. Disconnect recirc actuator electrical connector.
4. Remove side cowl trim panel.
5. Remove instrument panel lower right-to-side cowl attaching bolt.
6. Remove support bracket-to-air inlet duct attaching screw.
7. Remove five recirc duct-to-evaporator housing attaching screws, then the duct.
8. Remove four blower motor mounting plate screws.
9. Remove blower motor and wheel assembly from blower housing, Fig. 35. Do not remove the mounting plate from the motor.
10. Remove blower wheel from motor shaft.
11. Reverse procedure to install.
