System Reactivation Procedures

To Reactivate System:
1. Disconnect positive battery cable.
2. Remove Rotunda Air Bag Simulator tool from air bag terminals on clockspring assembly and passenger air bag (if equipped) harness connector if connected.
3. Reconnect driver air bag connector.
4. Position driver air bag on steering wheel and secure with four nut and washer assemblies (10 mm). Tighten nut and washer assemblies to 4-5.6 N.m (36-49 lb-in).
5. Reconnect passenger air bag connector. Tighten bolts to 7.6-10.4 N.m (68-92 lb-in) and screws to 2.7-3.7 N.m (24-32 lb-in).
6. Close glove compartment door.
7. Connect positive battery cable.
8. Verify air bag indicator.
