Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disarm airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Remove four nut and washers retaining air bag module to steering wheel.
3. Disconnect air bag electrical connector from clockspring contact connector, then remove air bag module from steering wheel. Place air bag on a flat surface with the trim cover facing up.
4. Remove horn buttons by gently prying with a small screwdriver.
5. Disconnect horn wiring harness connector.
6. Remove phillips head screws from speed control switch assemblies.
7. Disconnect speed control switches from wiring harness, then remove switches.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
9. Reactivate airbag as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
