Steering Wheel Sensor, Level Control

STEERING SENSOR

The steering sensor is located at the lower end of the steering column. It may be removed with the column in or out of the vehicle. The sensor and sensor ring are separate items.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect sensor electrical connector from wiring harness.
3. Disconnect sensor electrical connector from shift control cable bracket located under instrument panel.
4. Remove two attaching screws, then the sensor.
5. Reverse procedure to install.


STEERING SENSOR RING

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering column.
3. Remove steering shaft from column.
4. Remove sensor ring.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
