XB141 - Check VCRM



- Key "OFF".

- Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) switch disconnected.

- Breakout box installed. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disconnected.

- Reconnect Variable Control Relay Module (VCRM).

- Jumper test pin 22 to test pin 40 at the breakout box.

- While measuring voltage between test pin 8 and test pin 60 at the breakout box, turn key "ON".

- Key "OFF".

- Was voltage greater than 8.5 volts?

Yes -- Replace PCM. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Start engine, wait 5 seconds. Key "OFF". Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Replace VCRM. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
