XB167 - Check HFP Circuit For Short to Ground



- Key "OFF".

- High Speed Fuel Pump (HFP) relay disconnected.

- Variable Control Relay Module (VCRM) disconnected.

- Measure resistance between the HFP circuit at the HFP relay vehicle harness connector and the battery negative post.

- Is resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?

Yes -- Replace VCRM. Reconnect all components. Re-evaluate symptom.

No -- Service HFP circuit short to ground. Reconnect all components. Re-evaluate symptom.
