XB5 - Check Internal PCM Ground Circuits




- Key "OFF".

- Breakout box installed.

- Reconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

- Measure resistance between test pin 46 and test pins 40 and 60 at the breakout box.

- Is resistance less than 5.0 ohms?

Yes -- System Tests OK. Verify correct test results. Remove breakout box. Reconnect PCM. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Replace PCM. Remove breakout box. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
