XB71 - Check A/C Clutch



- Clear Continuous Memory again. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

- Disconnect A/C clutch.

- Start engine.

- Turn A/C "ON", wait 15 seconds.

- A/C "OFF".

- Engine "OFF".

- Rerun Key On Engine Off (KOEO) Self-Test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

- Is Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 585 present (ignore DTC 586 if received)?

Yes -- Go to XB72. XB72 - Check Power to A/C Clutch Circuit For Short to Ground

No -- Check any A/C clutch external wiring for shorts to ground. If OK, replace A/C clutch. Reconnect all components. Clear continuous memory (if necessary). Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
