XB93 - Check WAC Circuit For Short to Ground

- Key "OFF".

- Variable Control Relay Module (VCRM) disconnected.

- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Measure resistance between Pin 11 of the VCRM vehicle harness connector and the battery negative post.

- Is resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?

Yes -- Go to XB94. XB94 - Verify WAC Circuit Is Not Shorted to Ground In PCM

No -- Service Wide Open Throttle A/C Cut-Off (WAC) circuit short to ground. Reconnect all components. Re-evaluate symptom.
