Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove LH shock tower cover retaining screws and remove cover.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Ignition Control Module (ICM).

NOTE: To disconnect the module connector, push on the connector where it says PUSH, then slide connector from module.

4. Remove ICM retaining screws and remove module from ICM bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. Position ICM on bracket.
2. Install the retaining screws and tighten to 24-33 lb. in. (2.7-3.7 N-m).
3. Connect the electrical connector to the module.
4. Install the negative battery cable.
5. Position shock tower cover install retaining screws.
6. Connect negative battery cable.
