Neutral Safety Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Position transmission selector lever in NEUTRAL.
3. Raise and support vehicle.
4. Disconnect electrical harness connector from switch.
5. Remove retaining bolts from switch, then remove switch.

INSTALLATION
1. Ensure vehicle shift lever is in neutral position.
2. Install switch onto shaft then install retaining bolts loosely.
3. Align switch using alignment tool T93P-70010-AH, or equivalent. Torque mounting bolts to 5-7 ft lb.
4. Connect harness connector to switch, ensure connector is securely attached.
