XB12 - Check VCRM Ground (Pin 16)



- Key "OFF".

- Breakout box installed, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disconnected.

- Variable Control Relay Module (VCRM) disconnected.

- Measure resistance between Pin 16 of the VCRM vehicle harness connector and the battery negative post.

- Is resistance less than 5.0 ohms?

Yes -- Replace VCRM. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Service open GND circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
