Knock Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 1.
Remove the intake manifolds.
NOTE: The
Knock Sensor (KS) is located on top of the cylinder block, under the intake manifolds.
2.
Disconnect engine control sensor wiring from the
knock sensor.
3.
Remove
knock sensor from the cylinder block.
4.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten
knock sensor to
29-39 Nm (21-28 lb ft).
