Function Test (Air Suspension Control Module PID Test)
1. Monitor the PIDs STEER_A, STEER_B, and VSS_AS (or VSS_ARC).2. Rotate the steering wheel 90° left and right.
3. If either STEER_A or STEER_B PID do not toggle between HIGH and LOW, GO to Pinpoint Test F.F
4. Take the vehicle for short test drive.
1 Drive at speeds of at lease 56 km/h (35 mph).
2 While driving, compare the speedometer to the VSS_AS (or VSS_ARC) output on NGS tester.
5. If the VSS_AS (or VSS_ARC) PID reads within 8 km/h (5 mph) of the speedometer, the EVO inputs are OK. End the PID Test and GO to Symptom Chart.Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
6. Repeat the test drive while monitoring the Generic Electronic Module (GEM) PID VSS_GEM.
7. If the VSS_GEM PID reads within 8 km/h (5 mph) of the speedometer, REPAIR circuit 679 (GY/BK).
8. If the VSS_GEM PID reading is out of the above range, refer to the transfer case testing.
