Engine Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair



Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) Sensor - 5.4L (4V)

Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Remove the RH dual converter y-pipe. Refer to Service and Repair

3. Remove the air conditioning water deflector retainer and position the delector aside.






4. Disconnect the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector.






NOTE: The CHT sensor is located at the back of the right side cylinder head.

5. Remove the CHT sensor.






6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
