Connecting Rod Bolt/Nut

NOTE: Rod bearing cap bolts are torque to yield. New rod bearing cap bolts must be installed each time they are serviced.

Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.

To install No. 3 and 5, 4 and 7, 2 and 8, turn the crankshaft 90 degrees and repeat the previous steps.

Measure the connecting rod clearance.
