Rear-Second Row, 40 Percent E-Z Entry

REMOVAL
1. Remove the seat from the vehicle.







2. Remove the safety belt buckle.
1 Remove the bolt.
2 Remove the safety belt buckle.







3. Remove the inboard trim cover.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the inboard trim cover.







4. Remove the seat lift handle.
1 Remove the screw.
2 Remove the seat lift handle.







5. Remove the screw cover.







6. Remove the outboard trim cover.
1 Remove the screw.
2 Remove the outboard trim cover.







7. Remove the flipper panel.
1 Release the tether anchor hook and loop strip.
2 Remove the screws.
3 Release the latch.
4 Remove the flipper panel.







8. Remove the striker.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the striker.







9. Release the seat backrest trim cover J-clips.
^ Pull the tether anchor through the seat backrest trim cover.







10. Peel the seat backrest trim cover away and remove the staples retaining it to the seat backrest support.







11. Invert the seat backrest trim cover.
^ Separate the hook and loop strip.

CAUTION: Use care when separating the seat backrest pad trim cover from the hook and loop strip, or the hook and loop strip can be torn from the seal backrest pad.







12. Remove the pin-type retainers.

NOTE: Right side is shown, left side is similar.







13. Remove the seat backrest.
1 Position the clockspring end on the other side of the peg retainer.
2 Remove the seat adjuster bolts.
3 Remove the seat backrest.

NOTE: The seat backrest must be in the forward position when performing this step.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Upon installation of the flipper panel, the middle flipper panel screw must go through the tether anchor, to stop it from rotating.
2. Check the restraint system for correct operation.
