Normal Operation
The luggage compartment lid remote switch supplies a ground signal to the front electronic module (FEM). When the FEM receives the ground signal through circuit 8-AA30 (WH), the FEM sends an SCP message to the rear electronic module (REM) which energizes circuit 29S-AA83 (OG) and releases the luggage compartment lid.

Possible Causes
- DTC B1551 luggage compartment lid release circuit failure
- circuit 8-AA30 (WH) open or shorted to ground
- circuit 31-AA30 (BK/YE) open
- circuit 31-DA3 (BK/OG) open
- luggage compartment lid remote switch
- FEM
