Pinpoint Test A: The Red Brake Warning Indicator Lamp Stays On

Normal Operation
The red brake warning indicator is located on the instrument cluster. When the brake fluid in the brake master cylinder reservoir is below an acceptable level, and when the parking brake is engaged, the red brake warning will illuminate.

Possible Causes
^ Low brake fluid level
^ Parking brake engaged
^ An open circuit in the brake fluid level switch return ground circuit 31-CG7 (BK/BU)
^ A short to ground in circuit 8-GC7 (WH/RD)
^ An open circuit in the brake fluid level switch input signal circuit 8-GC7 (WH/RD)
^ A defective low brake fluid level switch
^ Front electronic module (FEM)
^ Instrument cluster
