Test N

Test N1-N2:

Pinpoint Test N: DTC C1989: Park Brake Apply And Release Switch Contacts Energized Simultaneously

Normal Operation
The electronic parking brake (EPB) two-way motor receives power from circuit 32-CG19 (WH/VT) or 33-CG19 (YE/VT), depending on the direction of the motor revolution. When the EPB applies, circuit 32-CG19 (WH/VT) is equal to battery voltage and circuit 33-CG19 (YE/VT) is equal to zero volts. When the EPB releases, 32-CR19 (YE/VT) is equal to zero volts and 33-CT19 (YE/VT) is equal to battery voltage. Otherwise both circuits are at one half of battery voltage.

Possible Causes
^ 8-CG15 (WH/BU)
^ 10-CG15 (GY/VT)
^ 9-CG20 (BN/WH)
^ EPB switch
^ EPB module
