Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Remove the starter motor solenoid cover.
4. Remove the starter solenoid nut and position the harness aside.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

5. Remove the starter motor solenoid nut.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).

6. Loosen the battery cable bracket bolt.
- To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).

7. Release the 7 wiring harness locators.
8. Remove the generator B+ nut.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

9. Disconnect the 2 generator electrical connectors.
10. Remove the battery cable ground nut and position the harness aside.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

11. Open the BJB cover and remove the BJB nut.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).

12. Disconnect the BJB battery cables.
13. Remove the battery cable ground bolt and position the harness aside.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

14. Remove the battery cables assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector located near the battery tray.
- Release the battery cable locators from the battery tray.

15. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
