Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. NOTE: Make sure the wheel speed sensor is fully seated before installation of the new bolt.

Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt.
^ To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).

3. NOTE: Install a new O-ring.

Remove the wheel speed sensor.

4. Remove the 3 wheel speed sensor harness retainers.
5. Remove the wheel speed sensor harness pin type retainers.





6. Gain access to the wheel speed sensor harness.
1 Remove the pin type retainers.
2 Position the inner splash shield aside.
7. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

8. NOTE: Apply a 2.5 mm (0.1 inch) bead of sealant to the outside diameter of the wheel speed sensor.

Remove the wheel speed sensor and the harness.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
