Brake Pads





Material

Removal
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Remove the 2 brake caliper bolts.
3. Remove the pads and spring clip.
^ Discard the spring clips.

4. Inspect the pads for wear and contamination.

Installation





1. Using the special tool, compress the brake caliper piston into the disc brake caliper.
2. Position the notch in the caliper piston up and down to align with the alignment pin on the brake pad.
3. Install the new spring clips and brake pads.
4. Position the brake caliper and install the 2 bolts.
^ Tighten to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
