Differential Gear Assembly

Special Tool(s):

Disassembly
1. Inspect the differential bearings for damage or excessive wear. Install new if necessary.





2. Using the special tool and a suitable press, remove the differential carrier bearing from the differential assembly.





3. Using the special tools, remove the differential carrier bearing from the differential assembly.





4. Inspect the differential assembly and the ring gear for damage and replace if necessary.

Assembly
1. Using the special tools and a press, install new differential carrier bearings on the differential assembly.
