Seat Position Sensor









NOTE: The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON.

NOTE: The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.

1. Remove the driver seat.

2. Locate the horizontal seat track motor and disconnect the electrical connector.





3. Apply power and ground to the pins on the horizontal seat track motor to move the seat track to the rearward most position.

4. Disconnect the seat position sensor electrical connector.

5. Remove the seat track position sensor in the following sequence.

1. Pull the retaining clip out of the seat track position sensor.

2. Slide back, disengage and remove the seat track position sensor.

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Apply power and ground to the pins on the horizontal seat track motor to move the seat track to the forward most position.
