Memory Seat Position Sensor

Removal and Installation

NOTE: The memory recline position sensor is part of the power seat recliner and is not serviceable separately. To install a new power seat recliner, refer to Seat Recliner - Power Seat Recliner - Power.

1. Remove the front seat. For additional information, refer to Seat - Front Seat - Front.

2. Remove the Driver Seat Module (DSM) and shield.

1. Remove the bolt.

2. Remove the 2 nuts.

3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

4. Remove the DSM and shield.





3. Disconnect the seat track position sensor electrical connector.





4. Rotate the seat track position sensor counterclockwise and remove the sensor.





5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- After installation, operate the seat through the entire range of travel for each new sensor installed to reset the motor stop positions in the DSM.
