Removal and Installation

1. Remove the instrument panel side finish panel.
- Pull straight outward to release the retaining clips.

2. Remove the lower A-pillar trim panel.
- Pull straight outward to release the retaining clips.

3. NOTICE: When removing scuff plate trim panels with Lincoln ambient lighting, care must be taken not to damage the aluminum insert.

Remove the scuff plate trim panel.

- Using a flat trim tool, lift upward on the scuff plate trim panel to release the retainer clips.

- If equipped, disconnect the ambient light electrical connector.





4. NOTICE: To avoid damage to the scuff plate trim panel, remove any retaining clips from the body and attach them to the scuff plate trim panel before installing.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
