Removal and Installation

NOTE: The liftgate lamp center grommet (pin locator) must be replaced when the liftgate lamp is removed to prevent possible water leaks into the liftgate.

1. Remove the liftgate applique. For additional information, refer to Exterior Trim and Ornamentation .

2. Disconnect the liftgate lamp electrical connectors and wire retainers.

3. Remove the 2 outboard nuts, the 6 inboard nuts and the liftgate lamp.
- Remove and discard the center liftgate lamp grommet (pin locator) from the liftgate.

4. NOTE: If the liftgate lamp does not snap securely into the outboard grommets (pin locator), new ones must be installed.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
