Window Shade Motor: Service and Repair




Sunshade Motor Block and Drive Tube

NOTE: Refer to the exploded view in Sunshade - Fixed Glass Roof Sunshade - Fixed Glass Roof for additional information.

1. Lower the headliner. For additional information, refer to Headliner Service and Repair.

2. Remove the sunshade motor. For additional information, refer to Sunshade Motor .

3. Remove the tie straps that retain the tubes together.

4. Remove the LH and RH sunshade motor block and drive tube screws.





5. Remove the front sunshade assembly. For additional information, refer to Sunshade- Fixed Glass Roof Sunshade - Fixed Glass Roof.

6. Remove the rear sunshade assembly. For additional information, refer to Sunshade- Fixed Glass Roof Sunshade - Fixed Glass Roof.

7. NOTE: LH sunshade stop shown, RH similar.
Remove the sunshade stop screws from the rear LH and RH track.






8. Remove the front LH and RH sunshade track. For additional information, refer to Sunshade Track .

9. Remove the LH and RH sunshade cable out through the rear tracks.

10. Remove the sunshade motor block and drive tubes.

11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
