Idle Speed: Adjustments

Precheck

Be sure the ignition timing, spark plugs, carburetor float level, etc., are all in normal operating condition.

1. Disconnect the fan motor connector (black) before adjusting Fig. 5.
2. Turn off all lights and other unnecessary electrical loads.
3. Connect a tachometer to the engine.

4. Warm up the engine to the normal operating temperature. Adjust the idle speed to the specified value by turning the throttle adjust screw Fig. 6.

Idle speed: 750 rpm in neutral (with manual transaxle) 700 rpm at "D" (with automatic transaxle)
