Canister Purge Control Valve: Testing and Inspection
Fig. 38 Testing purge control valve:
1.
Disconnect and plug hose (C), Fig. 38, then attach a suitable hose to port (D) and blow into valve. Air should not flow from valve.
2.
Start engine, run at 1500 RPM, and blow into port (D) as previously described. Air should now flow through
purge valve.
3.
If air does not flow through valve, replace valve and canister assembly.
