Ignition Lock: Service and Repair


1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

Steering Column:





2. Remove steering column covers.

Steering Wheel Removal:





3. Using a suitable puller, remove steering wheel.

4. Using a chisel, make a groove in the head of the steering lock screw. Remove the screw using a flat tip screw driver. Remove steering lock.

5. Align the steering lock with the grooves on the jacket and the steering shaft, and temporarily attach the steering lock.

6. Insert the key into the lock and tighten steering lock screws, snugly, ensuring steering lock functions properly.

7. Finish tightening steering lock bolts until the heads twist off.

8. Reinstall steering cover covers.

Combination Switch Angle Sensor Alignment:





9. Ensure proper alignment of combination switch angle sensor.

Horn Contact:





10. Thinly coat horn contact, on back side of steering wheel, with molybdenum disculphide grease.

11. Reinstall steering wheel. Connect negative battery terminal.
