Fig. 8 Disconnecting Neutral Switch Connector:

1. Run engine until normal operating temperature is reached.
2. Disconnect the neutral switch connector Fig. 8.

3. Connect a voltmeter to slow fuel cut solenoid valve yellow wire connector (Lg) terminal Fig. 9.
4. Voltmeter should indicate below 1.5 volt.
5. Connect a tachometer.
1. Increase the engine speed to above 3,000 rpm, and then accelerate rapidly.
1. Take a reading of the voltmeter during deceleration. The reading should be, above 2,000 rpm approx. 12V, and below 2,000 rpm below 1.5V.
