Power Steering Pressure Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect power steering pressure switch connector.
2. Connect ohmmeter to switch Fig. 26.
3. Start engine and check continuity of switch while turning steering wheel at idle. There should be continuity while turning and there should be no continuity when not turning.
When the oil pressure is above 2500 kPa (355 p.s.i.)......Closed
When the oil pressure is below 2500 kPa (355 p.s.i.)......Open
