Engine Control Module: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 53 Testing control unit.:

1. Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature, then shut engine Off.
2. Connect voltmeter to control unit as shown, Fig. 53.
3. On all models, turn ignition switch On, then measure voltage of each terminal and compare to specifications, refer to charts. If voltage readings are not as specified, check all wiring and connections in circuit before checking or replacing component.
