Throttle Opener Signal

Fig. 12 A/C Solenoid Valve.:

1. Warm the engine to normal operating temperature and stop the engine.
2. Connect a tachometer to the engine.
3. Disconnect the coupler from the air conditioner solenoid valve and connect a voltmeter to the terminals Fig 12..
2. Start the engine and turn on the air conditioner switch.
3. On vehicles equipped with A/T make sure the current flows to terminal at any engine speed. On M/T vehicles increase speed to 2000 rpm with throttle. Slowly decrease the engine speed and make sure that the current stars to flow when the engine speed is 1100 rpm + or - 100 rpm.
