Anti-Afterburn Valve
Anti-Afterburn Valve No. 1
1. Start and operate engine at idle speed until normal operating temperature is obtained.
2. Disconnect air hose from air pump.
3. Place a finger over open portion of disconnected air hose and ensure air is not sucked in when engine is idling.
4. Increase engine speed to 3000 RPM, then quickly decrease engine speed.
5. Ensure air is sucked into air hose for a few seconds while engine speed is decreasing. If not, replace air control valve.
Anti-Afterburn Valve No. 2
1. Start and operate engine at idle speed until normal operating temperature is obtained.
2. Disconnect air hose from air cleaner.
3. Place a finger over open portion of disconnected air hose and ensure air is not sucked in when engine is idling.
4. Increase engine speed to 3000 RPM, then quickly decrease engine speed.
5. Ensure air is sucked into air hose for a few seconds while engine speed is decreasing. If not, replace anti-afterburn valve No. 2.
