1. Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature.
2. Connect system checker to control unit check connector, Fig. 4.

3. Observe system checker. If red light does not illuminate, system is functioning properly. If red light illuminates, a problem has been found in the system Fig 30. Refer to ``Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Procedures.''
