Inspection of Retard Function
Fig. 22 Service connector location, EGI Control Unit:
1.
Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
2.
Disconnect service connector to cancel inhibiting signal from EGI control unit

3.
Tap air intake plenum lightly and ensure ignition timing retards.
4.
Reconnect service connector and ensure ignition timing does not retard by tapping air intake plenum.
