A/C Idle-Up Solenoid

Fig. 50 Idle-up system.:

1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature and run at idle speed.
2. Connect tachometer to engine.
3. Disconnect electrical connector at A/C idle-up solenoid and apply battery power to solenoid.
4. With all accessories off, ensure engine speed is 1250-1350 RPM on vehicles equipped with manual transaxle, or 1450-1550 RPM on vehicles equipped with automatic transaxle.
5. If engine speed is not within specifications, turn valve adjusting screw to obtain correct speed.
